Who runs this website

Road to the Election is owned and operated by BG Media, LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). This notice applies to Road to the Election, not to other websites operated by BG Media. It explains what this survey currently collects and how to contact us about your information.

This is a commercial survey, not a scientific opinion poll. We use answers to operate the survey, produce aggregate results and show offers from marketing partners. Registration and partner delivery are not live; no marketing partners currently receive your data through this survey.

Information we collect and where it comes from

We collect answers directly from you as you go, linked to a pseudonymous survey session. Depending on the questions and follow-ups you answer, these include:

• Your opinion on the survey's hook question, such as congressional term limits.
• Age range, housing and roof age, vehicle ownership and insurance, debt and debt range, health insurance and Medicare coverage, employment and household income.
• Children in the household, education, military service, gender identity and charitable giving. Some answers, including gender identity and health-related information, may be sensitive under applicable law. Questions include a ‘Prefer not to say’ choice where offered.
• Automatically collected session and visitor identifiers, a secret-keyed hash of your IP address (not the raw IP in the survey session), browser/user agent, device type, country and region, activity times and survey interactions.
• Landing path, referring website origin, permitted campaign and affiliate attribution parameters, including an Everflow click identifier if present, and your browser's Global Privacy Control signal.
• For a privacy request, the email address and request type you submit, request time, form version and Global Privacy Control flag. Cloudflare Turnstile processes verification information to protect the request form from abuse.

What registration does not collect yet

The current registration screen is a placeholder. Names, email addresses, telephone numbers and ZIP codes typed there are not submitted or saved. The separate privacy-request form does collect the email address you submit so we can review and respond to your request. We do not currently send survey leads to advertisers. We will update these notices before registration and partner delivery are enabled.

How we use and disclose information

We use survey and session information to save progress, select follow-up questions, understand survey participation, produce aggregate tallies, maintain the website and prevent abuse. The survey is designed to use answers to select relevant marketing offers. Opinion answer values stay within the survey and are not included in buyer data.

Our website hosting and database service providers process information on our behalf to operate the site. Cloudflare processes privacy-form verification. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or transfer of our business, as described in BG Media's published policy. A link to a third-party website does not make us responsible for that website's privacy practices.

No marketing partners currently receive survey data. We do not currently sell survey data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. A recorded Global Privacy Control signal does not currently trigger an automated opt-out workflow. You can submit a request using the privacy-request form or contact us by email.

Cookies and browser storage

On survey load we set rtte_sid, a session cookie with a seven-day lifetime, and rtte_vid, a visitor cookie with a one-year lifetime. These support session progress and repeat-visitor recognition. The rtte-intro sessionStorage entry remembers whether the visual introduction has played in that browser tab. Cookie expiry is not the same as deletion of server records. You can manage cookies in your browser, but blocking them may prevent the survey from working.

The survey currently loads no third-party advertising, analytics or TrustedForm scripts. The privacy-request form loads Cloudflare Turnstile for bot verification. Recording a Global Privacy Control signal is separate from the older Do Not Track browser setting; we do not claim that either setting automatically erases survey records.

Storage, security and retention

Survey records are stored in our US-hosted database. We restrict database and administration access, but no transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

A category-specific retention schedule has not yet been established for this survey. Survey data remains stored unless handled through a reviewed privacy request or a future retention process. The request form records requests for manual review; it does not automatically delete data or complete a sale opt-out. We may retain information needed for legal obligations and records of privacy requests. Contact us for information about your specific request.

Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to know about and access your personal information, receive a portable copy, correct inaccurate information, request deletion subject to exceptions, or opt out of sale or sharing. California residents may also request information about disclosures for direct marketing under California's Shine the Light law. Nevada residents may submit a sale opt-out request to our contact email.

Use the privacy-request form for access, deletion or do-not-sell requests. For correction, an appeal, an authorized-agent request, or other privacy questions, email us. You do not need an account. We use request information to review and respond to the request, verify identity or authority where needed, and maintain compliance records. Because survey answers are linked to pseudonymous sessions rather than registration contacts, an email address alone may not identify your survey records. We may ask for information reasonably needed to locate records and verify a request; do not email sensitive answers or identity documents unless requested through an appropriate channel.

We endeavor to respond to verifiable requests within 45 days. If more time is needed, we will explain the reason and extension. Applicable exceptions may limit deletion or disclosure. We will explain if we cannot fulfill a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

If GDPR applies to your information, rights may also include objection, restriction, withdrawal of consent and a complaint to your local supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise these rights. This notice does not claim that the site blocks non-US visitors or has implemented a consent-management system.
